Sheila Sullivan, Founding Partner

Sheila Sullivan, founder of the Bridal News Network, has spent her entire career in the fashion business.

She has been associated with the world’s most prestigious fashion magazines; Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. As Bazaar’s Senior Fashion Editor, she covered the international fashion collections several times each year in Milan, London, Rome, Paris and New York. In her position, Sheila established a rapport not only with the key designers and media who shape the look of fashion but also with the taste makers in all areas of lifestyle, including interior design, entertainment and the arts.

In the mid-1990's, Sheila Sullivan formed a fashion communications business which provided creative services, media relations, image development and marketing direction to several fashion and bridal industry brands.

William Duke, Founding Partner

Bridal News Network co-founder William Duke has over 25 years of experience in advertising sales, marketing, and new media.

In the latter part of the 90's, he directed New Media at Cowles Business Media and prior to that formed Magazinedata, an online directory producing media kits for clients such as Smithsonian, Time, Money, Business Week and Forbes.

At Hearst Magazines, William Duke served as Sales Development Director of the Corporate Advertising Sales Group, the New York Manager of Cosmopolitan magazine and the National Sales Director of Popular Mechanics. Earlier ad sales experience included The Nation, New York magazine and Scientific American.

William graduated with a BA from Dartmouth College in 1976 and received an MBA in Marketing and Quantitative Methods from Fordham University in 1986.

Monica Hickey, Fashion Director

Monica Hickey brings to Bridal News Network a true behind the scenes knowledge of the world of custom Bridal designs, drawing from her amazing career at all the finest places –Henri Bendel- Bergdorf Goodman- Vera Wang- Kleinfeld and Saks Fifth Avenue. Monica lifts the veil as she invites others to fully appreciate the beauty and mystery that makes bridal such a special industry.
 

 

 

Bradford Agry, Editorial and Marketing Consultant

Bradford Agry has 30 years experience in all aspects of marketing including strategic plan development, business-to-business sales, advertising management, public relations and business communications/journalism.

Prior to forming his own marketing communications consulting firm, Agry Communications in 1991, he served as Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Henry Dreyfuss Associates, the oldest product and graphic design consulting firm in the U.S. He also held similar new business development posts at Butler Rogers Baskett  Architects and ISD Interior Architects.

Agry began his career in advertising at Young and Rubicam. There, he worked in virtually all aspects of the agency’s business including broadcast buying, media planning, and account management. His account responsibilities included Kraft/General Foods, Clairol, Time, Inc., and Frito-Lay. Subsequently, he moved to the client side as advertising manager on Citibank Visa/MasterCard, Preferred Visa Card and The Citibank Financial Account.

He holds an M.B.A. in Marketing from Columbia Business School and is a cum laude graduate from Dartmouth College where he earned a B.A. with distinction in French.

He is currently a candidate for an M.A. in Theology at The General Theological Seminary in New York City.

 

Bruce Henderson, Editorial Consultant

Bruce Henderson began his writing career as a newspaper reporter for the Dallas Times Herald, was sent to Argentina as a staff foreign correspondent for The Associated Press, and after more than two years in Buenos Aires, was invited to become a TIME-LIFE roving correspondent in Latin America and the Caribbean. He spent more than five years covering South America, Central America, and the Caribbean (including the Cuban revolution). He is fluent in Spanish (and currently also does Spanish-English translating).

Later Bruce wrote for TIME in New York for eight and one-half years, rising to associate editor. He worked in both the "front-of-the-book" sections (principally foreign news and national affairs) and "back-of-the-book", and was responsible for thirteen TIME cover stories. He moved on from TIME to write books and has also been involved in executive speechwriting and preparing annual reports for major corporations, as well as in other corporate and professional communications. He has traveled widely in Europe, Turkey, and Canada as well as in Latin America.

He is or has been a member of the Washington Speechwriters’ Roundtable, the American Chamber of Commerce of Cuba in the United States, the British/Florida Chamber of Commerce; the Coral Gables (Fla.) Chamber of Commerce, and the United States Tennis Association.

 

Tim Zagin , Sales and Marketing Consultant

Sales and Marketing Consultant Tim Zagin comes to the Bridal News Network with over 25 years of media and marketing experience gained at True North Communications (now part of the Interpublic Group of Companies). As VP, Associate Media Director at Foote, Cone & Belding/New York, he directed media planning and buying for such blue-chip accounts as AT&T, Campbell Soup Company, Citicorp, Colgate-Palmolive and Fila, among others.

In the early '90's, Tim was named SVP, Director of International Media for FCB Worldwide. In this capacity, Tim directed strategic planning and conducted global media negotiations for such major multinational accounts as Citibank, Colgate, Compaq, JP Morgan Chase, Nabisco and SC Johnson.

Tim is a member of the International Advertising Association as well as the Asia Society and the Americas Society. He is a past member of the 4A's Newspaper and Business-to-Business Media Committees.

Tim graduated with a BA from Fordham University in 1968 and received a JD from Fordham Law School in 1971.
